hello madame, welcome to varkala

...this is how i was welcomed to varkala by a group of school children on varkalas beach. Varkala, it seems like paradise to us. Beach, sea, waves, sun, jack johnson and chill out music. A place to chill. After a stroll on the beach denise and i are now sitting on the cliff in a cafe, facing the sea and watching the sun set. And additionally this cafe has WIFI!!! Jupiiii :-) We fell in love with this place! Fort kochi seems like a relatively calm place. But this is the first time since we arrived that i feel i can relax. We have heard much about Varkala: a touristy place with many restaurants and shops...i expected it worse. And every tourist staying here is in a relaxation mood...gives a nice feeling to it.
We will stay here for only a couple of hours and then continue our journey to the south. We are tempted to just stay here...but we can come again for another weekend. It is only a 4 hour train ride from kochi. Well, actually it is supposed to take 4 hours. Our train today took 6 hours. That's India.

    WEITER SO! Pa
